Objective: 

This course will enable students to develop a comprehensive research proposal in psychology, demonstrating their ability to identify research questions, review relevant literature, design appropriate methodologies, and present their proposed research in a structured and coherent manner.

Course Outcomes: 

CO111: Formulate clear and concise research questions and hypotheses based on a thorough review of existing literature.

CO112: Demonstrate proficiency in designing a research methodology that aligns with their research questions

CO113: develop skills in writing a well-structured research proposal, adhering to APA guidelines for formatting, citations, and references.

CO114: Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

Students are required to:

·       Determine relevant variables for a testable research proposal.

·       Conduct a literature review identifying the research gaps and rationale of the study.

·       Define the sample size and inclusion-exclusion criteria, formulate research objectives, and hypotheses.

·       Develop an appropriate research design and identify the relevant analysis technique for the same.

·       Cite all relevant sources using APA 7 guidelines.
