Introduction to Counselling
This course will familiarize the students with the nature and process of counselling, its major theories and techniques and expose them to the different fields of applications of counselling.
After the completion of this course, the students will be able to:
·Explain Counselling and understanding Counsellor’s Professions Issues, Ethics, Importance of Education & Training.
·Relate the importance of Counselling in various areas which are Cross Cultural Context, Gender Based and Aged Population.
·Analyse and applying different Counselling Applications.
·Apply therapeutic techniques from various approaches of counselling to solve the issues faced by clients.

d. Behavioural Approach : Operant conditioning, Behaviour Modification
e. Indian Contribution : Yoga and Meditation
