Overall Report:

IIS (Deemed to be University) and the Rekhi Foundation of Happiness signed an MoU to establish the Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of Happiness, the first-ever center of its kind in Rajasthan, to be set up at IIS (Deemed to be) University. This collaborative initiative will focus on transformative education in the fields of happiness.

Expert speaker Dr. Satinder Singh Rekhi from the Rekhi Foundation of Happiness also shared valuable insights on the topic Happiness – A Mysterious Emotion with the students. The session focused on how our 'monkey brain' often leads to unhappiness by creating fear, engaging in overthinking, and pushing us to constantly search for happiness. Through stories and personal life experiences, the expert speaker raised awareness about happiness and provided practical advice on how to overcome unhappiness by stopping overthinking and starting to live in the moment.

Outcome: Students will benefit from this MOU by learning about the science of happiness. They enjoyed the session and understood how happiness is important for one’s mental health by learning it with examples and stories.
