Objective: 

 

Course Objectives (COs):

This course will enable the students to –

  1. To familiarize students with the theoretical stand points in therapeutic intervention.
  2. To train them in skills of therapy.
  3. Understand necessary theoretical and technical know-how of various concepts in educational counseling.

CO1: Relate and understand the profession of counselling in the Indian context.

CO2: Demonstrate skills of helping clients and counsellor-counselee relationship.

CO3:Examine proficiencies to assist professional counsellors during intake interviews

CO4: Perceive qualities of an effective counsellor including increasing self-awareness, reflexivity, self-monitoring and objectivity.

Interactive Lectures, Discussion, Tutorials, Reading assignments,
